yeast infection garlic
Yeast infection refers to the infection caused by the fungus candida albicans. Yeast infections are also known as candidiasis.  In the case of vaginal yeast infections, such an overgrowth of Candida cells occur when the normal vaginal flora is disturbed reducing the presence of ‘healthy bacteria’ such as lactobacilli. Such disturbances to the vaginal flora can occur for many reasons. The problem with a yeast infection is if it’s not treated properly, it grows and infects other organs until it eventually takes over and becomes very toxic to the body. Below, are  the most effective natural remedies for yeast infections.

Natural cures include:

garlic cloves are known to be one effective, natural treatment option to manage the symptoms of yeast infection. This is because of the antifungal property of garlic.  Peel a garlic bulb. For easy retrieval you can sew a string through it. At bedtime, insert the clove inside.  Remove in the morning.

Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil contains compounds called terpenoids, which act as an antifungal. It has been shown to kill Candida, the yeast responsible for vaginal infection, but there has not been enough research yet to be certain of its effectiveness in treating yeast infections.
Tea tree oil can be used in a douche (20 drops to 8 ounces of water) or applied directly to a tampon and inserted into the vagina.

Oil of Oregano
Oregano for yeast infections is a medically verified yeast and fungi killer.

You can use oregano internally and externally.

Topically, you can rub a few drops of it on the affected area. For use on the genitals, always dilute it. You can take one drop of this oil and mix it with a teaspoon of coconut oil or olive oil. It works just fine too.
Orally, you can take 2 drops of it. You should increase the dosage by one drop a day until you reach five drops. Do this until two days after the symptoms disappear for good measure.

Coconut oil
Coconut oil is high in both lauric acid and caprylic acid, which both have antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Apple Cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) (where to find) is one of nature’s strongest antibiotics. It can kill just about every fungus, bacteria, virus and protozoa it comes into contact with.
To douche with apple cider vinegar, add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to 8 ounces of filtered water.
